This disclaimer explains the nature, appearance, materials, care requirements and limited warranty of Orika Jewels fashion jewellery.
1. Fashion jewellery
Unless a product page expressly states otherwise, Orika Jewels products are fashion or imitation jewellery and are not solid gold, investment-grade precious metal or certified precious gemstones. Gold-tone, silver-tone, rose-gold-tone and similar descriptions refer to appearance or plating, not solid precious-metal content.
2. Materials and plating
Materials vary by design and may include stainless steel, brass, alloy, sterling silver, stones, beads, enamel and other components. Products may use e-coating or another finish. The product page and packaging should be consulted for item-specific material, plating, dimensions, manufacturer/packer, country-of-origin and care information. If there is a conflict, mandatory information on the product label and the item-specific product page will prevail over general website language.
3. Anti-tarnish claim and six-month limited warranty
Orika Jewels products are sold as anti-tarnish and carry a limited six-month anti-tarnish warranty from the delivery date, subject to the product’s materials, proper care, proof of purchase and inspection. Anti-tarnish means the finish is designed to resist ordinary tarnishing under normal use; it does not mean that appearance can never change or that the product is immune to scratches, abrasion, chemicals, corrosion, breakage or normal wear.
The limited warranty does not ordinarily cover:
- Scratches, dents, broken chains, bent posts, loose or missing stones caused by impact, pulling or improper handling.
- Damage caused by perfumes, cosmetics, hair products, detergents, sanitisers, bleach or other chemicals.
- Prolonged submersion, swimming pools, salt water, spas, hot water, excessive sweat or improper drying/storage.
- Normal variation, gradual wear at contact points, misuse, unauthorised repair or failure to follow care instructions.
- Loss, theft or damage occurring after the product has been altered by another person.
An eligible warranty claim will normally be resolved through repair or replacement with the same or a reasonably equivalent item. If that remedy is unavailable, Orika Jewels will provide another appropriate remedy agreed with the customer or required by law. The warranty does not limit statutory remedies for a defective or misdescribed product.
4. Waterproof descriptions
Where a product is described as waterproof, the description refers to resistance to ordinary incidental water exposure under normal conditions. It does not mean permanent or unlimited protection against prolonged immersion, chlorine, salt water, detergents, chemicals, extreme heat or physical wear. Customers should dry jewellery promptly and follow the care instructions to preserve its finish.
5. Skin sensitivity
Skin reactions vary by person. Unless an item-specific product page is supported by appropriate documentation and expressly states otherwise, Orika Jewels does not represent every product as hypoallergenic, nickel-free or lead-free. Customers with metal sensitivities, allergies or dermatological conditions should review the material information, avoid purchasing uncertain materials and consult a qualified professional where appropriate. Stop use if irritation occurs.
6. Images, colours and dimensions
We endeavour to display products accurately. Screen settings, lighting, photography, editing, plating batches and natural or handmade variations may cause differences in colour, shine, texture, stone placement or finish. Product photographs may be enlarged to show detail and are not always to scale. Customers should review stated dimensions, weight and model images before ordering. A material difference from the description remains subject to applicable return and consumer rights.
7. Product care
- Apply perfume, cosmetics and hair products before wearing jewellery and allow them to dry.
- Avoid direct contact with harsh chemicals, detergents, chlorine and salt water.
- Remove jewellery before heavy exercise, swimming, bathing, cleaning or sleeping where it may be pulled or abraded.
- After use, wipe gently with a clean, dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners unless specifically approved for the item.
- Store pieces separately in a dry pouch or anti-tarnish bag away from humidity, sunlight and friction.
- Handle clasps, chains, posts and stones gently and do not force adjustable parts beyond their intended range.
8. Safety and intended use
Jewellery contains small components and is not a toy. Keep it away from infants, young children and pets. Products are for decorative use only and do not provide medical, therapeutic, protective or investment benefits. Customers are responsible for choosing an appropriate size and using the product safely.
9. Availability and changes
Designs, packaging, materials and availability may change. Orika Jewels may correct genuine description or pricing errors and may discontinue a product. Changes will not remove rights already arising from an accepted order or applicable law.
10. Consumer rights
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights relating to defective, unsafe, counterfeit, incorrectly supplied or materially misdescribed goods.
